Stacy Lynch

Stacy graduated from McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas – getting his Associate of Arts and an Associate of Applied Science in the Physical Therapist Assistant program in 1995. He has also been a Certified Personal Trainer through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy since 2000. Stacy also specialized in oncology rehab for 4 years and became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) in 2015. Stacy has been specializing in aquatic therapy for 15 years. He has taken over 500 hours of continuing education in the aquatic specialization. He has received international certifications in Halliwick Aquatic Therapy/Water Specific Therapy (HAT/WST), Bad Ragaz Ring Method® (BRRM), and Clinical Ai Chi® (CAC) through the Association of International Aquatic Therapy Faculty (IATF). Stacy became one of the first credentialed Aquaticists (Aq) in America, and was issued the first Geriatric Aquaticist (GAq) credential in the world in 2013 through Aquatic Therapy University (ATU).

Stacy was integral to the first published case review on Aquatic Therapy and Alzheimer’s Disease and co-wrote the first published case study on Aquatic Therapy and End-Stage Dementia. Stacy has presented his research as an international keynote speaker. Stacy is the founder and owner of Inertia Therapy Services, providing aquatic therapy education services to therapists and communities. He was the organizing chair for the 2018 International Conference on Evidence-Based Aquatic Therapy (ICEBAT). Stacy has been the U.S. organizer for the IATF for 8 years. Stacy continues to work with the development of Aquatic Programs for Residents with Dementia in the Long Term Community.
